The magic appeal of this gathering of resort communities in northwest Michigan are the memories they generate.  Perhaps when a visitor was two years old, a memory was born of  sitting on a bench in a Victorian downtown shopping district having an ice cream cone.  Others may recall being a 10-year-old running with delight into the crystal clear waters of Little Traverse Bay.
